- AMA Guidelines for Physician-Patient Electronic Communications
In 2000, at the request of the Young Physicians Section, the AMA Board of
Trustees issued guidelines to aid physicians in communicating electronically
with patients. These guidelines were updated in June 2001 and in June 2002.
