Whats New - telehealthonline newsletter is a joint effort between The California Telehealth & Telemedicine Center (CTTC) and the Telemedicine Information Exchange (TIE). The two organizations will share the latest information and news about telemedicine activities in California and worldwide.

The mission of the California Telehealth & Telemedicine Center (CTTC) is to promote the use of new information and communication technologies to improve and expand access to health services and information - particularly in California's medically underserved communities. CTTC is generously supported by The California Endowment (TCE), a private foundation committed to expanding access to affordable, quality health care for underserved individuals and communities, and to promoting fundamental improvements in the health status of all Californians.

The TIE is sponsored by the Telemedicine Research Center (TRC, Portland, OR). The TRC's mission is to promote telemedicine research and to disseminate information about telemedicine-related issues. It launched the TIE in 1995 to provide a comprehensive telemedicine resource and information exchange. The TIE received major funding from the National Library of Medicine in 1997.
